- the need to commit to their role however minute it may be, as it goes beyond themselves and unto everyone
- movement and gestures can be symbolic and purposeful
- that the possibility of theatre and drama is endless
- that the power to communicate effectively lies within themselves, and that performing is for everybody
LEARNER OUTCOMES: Students will be able to…
- develop a basic understanding of the dramatic arts through movement, tableaux, gestures
- articulate the nuances of movement in accordance to varied speed and the limitations of their own bodies
- apply drama devices to communicate effectively
- create drama pieces through the process of devising and playwriting
- work together as an ensemble, rather than individuals
