Key Approaches

The MISSION of the National Police Cadet Corps is to develop our members to be active citizens and community leaders, by working in partnership with Singapore Police Force (SPF) to fight crime and keep Singapore safe.

The VISION of the National Police Cadet Corps is to become the best youth organisation in Singapore, one that actively helps to make Singapore the safest place in the world.

We believe in the following outcomes for our cadets:

  • Motivated leaders who possess a resilient character and strong values
  • Committed individuals who seek continual growth in themselves and others
  • Committed, dutiful youths with a sense of service for others in their community

Our key approaches to achieving these desired outcomes are therefore:

  1. Leadership training programmes focusing on developing the Cadet Leaders (Secondary 3) into confident and flexible leaders, to instil ownership in the Cadet Leaders and to hone their leadership skills and improve the Cadet Leaders’ hard skills.
  2. Enrichment programmes such as Standard First Aid, 1-star Kayaking Proficiency and Unarmed Tactics Course allow cadets to build on skills beneficial to self and the community.
  3. Police Youth Ambassador, Community Safe and Secure, and Values-In-Action programmes which expose cadets to the community needs. Furthermore, through collaborations with the SPF, the cadets will be able to understand the functions of a police officer better.
